Sales Specialist

Job Description:

Showcases and administers a distinct and pleasant customer interaction. Records transactions on designated cash register, dispenses customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout assistance.

Roles and Duties:

• Interacts with customers and patients by welcoming them warmly and providing guidance on products and services to create a positive customer service encounter. Handles and resolves customer queries for a satisfactory experience.
• Demonstrates and imparts customer service best practices to team members in order to provide an exceptional and enjoyable customer experience, covering interpersonal habits such as greetings, eye contact, courtesy, and Walgreens service characteristics like offering proactive assistance, identifying customer needs, and ensuring satisfaction.
• - Ensures customers receive service that is respectful, genial, speedy, and productive.
• Offering suggestions on potential purchases and recommending trade-in or companion items to customers.
• Logs customer purchases using the designated cash register, handles cash transactions, and dispenses change as needed. Manages voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as required.
• Keeps counters and shelves clean and attractively displayed, manages inventory, and maintains accurate records. Processes merchandise by checking in and pricing items as directed by the store manager or communicated by the shift leader.
• Implements measures to uphold company asset protection guidelines aimed at limiting profit erosion.
• Ensures that all rules and regulations pertaining to regulated products, including alcohol and tobacco, are upheld at both the state and local levels.
• Creates and manages displays, covering promotional, seasonal, elaborate structures, and merchandise on sale. Implements resets and alterations based on given directives.
• Aids in the maintenance of inventory by practicing stock rotation techniques and restocking items in accordance with the first in, first out method to ensure efficiency in product placement.
• Possesses operational understanding of store systems and equipment.
• Supports customers in the photography department through services like digital passport pictures, poster printing utilizing a creative machine, and suggestive selling of promotional photo merchandise.
• Takes charge of web order pickup duties, supervising orders within Picture Care Plus, assembling orders by selecting items, and handing orders to customers when they reach the store.
• Contributes to the store's clean and orderly appearance through assistance with exterior and interior maintenance efforts.
• Ensures adherence to all company policies and rules; nurtures professional rapport with fellow workers.
• Carries through designated assignments and other specified duties.

Training:

• Attends training programs and completes necessary PPLs as instructed by the Manager or specified by corporate guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Competency in English, covering reading, writing, and verbal communication, is essential
• The job demands a readiness to work during evenings and weekends, necessitating flexibility in scheduling
• Demonstrated experience in a retail environment for six months is preferred.
• Candidates with a history of working at Walgreens are preferred for the position.
• Wish to attain proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking, while excluding Puerto Rico
• The job mandates a readiness to work varying schedules, which may include evenings and weekends.
