Store Associate

Job Description:

Displays and executes a unique and satisfying customer service encounter. Completes transactions via assigned cash register, serves clients with polite, equitable, amicable, and speedy cashier service.

Roles and Duties:

• Provides support and guidance to customers and patients, initiating conversations to assist with product selection and service information. Resolves customer issues promptly to maintain a positive customer experience.
• Acts as a model and promoter in demonstrating and sharing optimal customer service methods with all team members to ensure a distinctive and delightful customer experience, incorporating interpersonal habits like greetings, eye contact, courtesy, and Walgreens service traits such as offering proactive help, identifying needs, and servicing until customer satisfaction is achieved.
• - Provides service to customers that is courteous, friendly, quick, and effective.
• Advising clients on suitable items for sale and suggesting complementary or enhanced merchandise.
• Operates the assigned cash register to document customer transactions, conducts cash exchanges, and provides change promptly. Deals with voided transactions, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
• Responsible for ensuring cleanliness and well-organized presentation of counters and shelves, conducts inventory checks, and maintains records efficiently. Tags and prices merchandise following the store manager's guidelines or instructions from the shift leader.
• Executes strategies to minimize financial losses by implementing asset protection measures.
• Ensures that compliance with state and local ordinances for controlled goods like alcohol and tobacco products is maintained.
• Creates and manages displays, involving promotional, seasonal, super structures, and merchandise for sale. Implements resets and adjustments based on specified guidelines.
• Provides support in organizing food items by separating them based on whether they are raw or pre-cooked and arranging them according to established rules, such as storing frozen meats in lower shelf positions.
• Is skilled in utilizing store systems and equipment.
• Provides support in the photo section, such as digital passport photo processing, creating posters with a creative machine, and recommending promotional photo items.
• Takes on the role of managing web pickups, monitoring orders processed in Picture Care Plus, assembling orders by selecting items, and providing orders to customers upon their store visit.
• Works towards maintaining the store's neat and orderly condition by supporting with exterior and interior maintenance tasks.
• Complies with all corporate policies and guidelines; fosters a harmonious atmosphere with colleagues.
• Accomplishes specialized tasks and additional projects as requested.

Training:

• Participates in training modules and accomplishes PPLs as requested by the Manager or assigned by the corporate authorities.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in English language skills, including reading, writing, and speaking, is mandatory
• Applicants must be prepared to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the demands of the position
• Applicants should have a minimum of six months of retail experience.
• An advantage for applicants is having previous employment experience at Walgreens.
• Hope to excel in English language fluency in reading, writing, and speaking, excluding Puerto Rico
• The position calls for the ability to work a schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
