Job Description:

Displays and provides a unique and enjoyable customer service experience. Registers purchases on designated cash register, serves customers polite, fair, friendly, and prompt checkout service.

Roles and Duties:

• Engages with customers and patients by offering assistance and support with products and services, addressing concerns and inquiries promptly to ensure a favorable customer interaction.
• Leads by example in modeling and sharing effective customer service techniques with all team members to deliver a unique and enjoyable customer service experience, covering interpersonal behaviors such as greetings, maintaining eye contact, showing courtesy, and following Walgreens' service traits like proactive assistance, identifying customer needs, and servicing until customer needs are fulfilled.
• - Delivers courteous, friendly, and efficient service to clients.
• Offering advice to customers on suitable purchase options and proposing related or upgraded items.
• Documents customer purchases accurately on the allocated cash register, handles cash transactions, and gives change as requested. Manages voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges according to store policies.
• Ensures counters and shelves are clean and properly organized, conducts inventory checks, and maintains detailed records. Tags and prices products in accordance with the store manager's instructions or guidance from the shift leader.
• Adheres to guidelines for protecting company assets to identify and minimize profit loss.
• Ensures that all requirements outlined in state and local legislation for regulated products, such as alcohol and tobacco, are met.
• Handles the construction and maintenance of displays, which include promotional, seasonal, elaborate structures, and items for sale. Carries out resets and modifications according to instructions provided.
• Aids in the separation of food items by differentiating between raw and pre-cooked items and arranging them according to company protocols, including the placement of frozen meats on lower shelves.
• Demonstrates expertise in store systems and equipment functionality.
• Provides customer care in the photo department, which includes digital passport photo assistance, poster printing using a creative machine, and recommending promotional photo items.
• Handles the responsibility for web-based pickup tasks, supervising orders in Picture Care Plus, completing orders by gathering items, and delivering orders to customers when they arrive at the store.
• Ensures the store's exterior and interior are well-maintained to uphold a neat and organized appearance.
• Maintains adherence to all company policies and procedures; upholds a respectful and cooperative dynamic with coworkers.
• Accomplishes special projects and other designated duties.

Training:

• Participates in training initiatives and fulfills PPLs requested by the Manager or specified by corporate directives.

Qualifications:

• Fluency in English, which includes reading, writing, and verbal communication, is necessary
• The role involves having a flexible work schedule that encompasses evenings and weekends
• A retail environment background of six months is required.
• Preference is given to candidates who have prior work history with Walgreens.
• Aim to be adept in English reading, writing, and speaking abilities, but not in Puerto Rico
• Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours, which may involve evenings and weekends.
